Greg Miller - Alliance Director

Biography

Prior to joining the Alliance of Chief Executives, Greg Miller was CEO of Grabit, a materials handling, industrial automation robotics company, serving the global manufacturing and warehouse logistics markets. After losing his home in the San Francisco Bay Area to a California wildfire, Greg moved his family to Arizona where he has brought the Alliance community to CEOs and business owners in the greater Phoenix area.

Greg began his career with a BS in civil engineering from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. He was a Nuclear Engineering Officer on the USS Enterprise before joining Raychem where he was given the responsibility for managing their worldwide sales channels. Greg then joined JDS Uniphase, where he became Vice President & General Manager of a JDSU division that manufactured optical components and lasers in the US, China, Japan and France for the solar, thin-film coatings and consumer electronics industries.

Greg was then recruited to his first CEO role for Miradia, a Sequoia Capital backed company, where he led the development of the first all-silicon MEMS micro mirror array for the projection display market and ultimately to a successful acquisition by a global $5B Taiwanese company. Greg returned to JDSU where he led a division that addressed the global challenge of counterfeit goods, transactions and identification. He then joined OpSec Security as President, a leader in the physical and online security for more than 400 of the world’s leading brands, including the NFL, MLB, NBA, Nike, GM and more.

Greg currently sits on several boards and works with numerous CEOs to advise on strategy, fund raising, product development, market launch, personnel development and business model evolution. He is also an Adjunct Professor for Entrepreneurship at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
